White Pine Elliptically Shaped Bowl

White Pine Elliptically shaped Bowl (11”W x 19 ½”L x 2 ½”H) with Decorative Incised carved Pine Needle border on both sides of the bowl.

Finish – one of MinWax oil based Natural Stain & 2 coats of Natural Past Wax buffed between coats. The pine needles have been hand painted with a latex Forrest Green colour.

The needles on the White Pine tree always grow in a group of five needles, and I thought that this would add a nice decorative touch to the bowl.

Incised carving is simple cutting a pattern into the surface of the wood to create the decorative effect.
